• Q: When ESIMMO++ is launched the program displays the following error message: The session of Oxygène++ cannot be opened at present as it is being used in exclusive mode on another workstation. If this is not the case, please check the location of the database (parameter D= of the command line).
  
  R: In most cases, the network connection with your Y disk, where the Oxypp file containing all the ESIMMO++ data is located, has been broken. You need to reactivate the connection. Otherwise, check on the server to see whether an ESIMMO++ session has been opened in exclusive mode in order to work on the database.
  
  
• Q: When ESIMMO++ is launched the program displays the following error message: The session of Oxygène++ cannot be opened at present as the number of this workstation has already been assigned to another session. If this is not the case, please check that the P parameter = the command line.
  
  R: ESIMMO++ is already open on this workstation, but has been minimised. Just click on the ESIMMO shortcut on the lower program taskbar.
  
  
• Q: When a request is made to send descriptions or summary lists by email, the program generates an error message referring to OLE applications.
  
  R: Outlook 2000 has not been configured as the email program for this computer. You simply need to configure this program and the problem will be resolved.
  
  
• Q: Despite complying with all the recommendations specified in relation to the hardware and network requirements for running ESIMMO++, the program is operating so slowly it is practically unusable.
  
  R: There are several possible reasons for this. The most likely one is a conflict between Norton Antivirus and Windows 2000. To be sure of this, just deactivate Norton Antivirus. If the speed of the program returns to normal, then you can conclude that this is the reason and replace Norton with another antivirus solution: Mac Afee or F-Secure.
